- Hi everyone,
-
- I've recently purchased a Seagate 1GB IDE 3.5" HD for my A1200, but I do have some questions.
-
- 1. What should I set for maxtransfer? I use 0x1fe00 now, but this gives me a transferrate of about
- 500KB/s. My supplier told me to expect more than 2 MB/s.
-
- 2. What is the best filesystem? With DC my directories are faster, but everything slows down then,
- especially when I have to write a lot of small files to the same directorie: On a certain moment the
- files are writing one per second.
-
- 3. When I reset my machine, the harddrive acts as he doesn't get juice (power) anymore. Is this normal?
- And if so, how bad is that for my HD?
-
- Any help appreciated
